Eastbourne GP Specialist Training

Arlington Road

Peter Williams is the trainer amongst the 3 full time and 4 part time partners at Arlington Road. Of the 7doctors, 6have previously trained with the Eastbourne Vocational Training Scheme. The surgery is situated in converted Victorian Premises, which were completely refurbished in 1999. Situated in the centre of Eastbourne it is only 200 yards from the railway station. In addition to the 8 partners there is a retained doctor, 4 practice nurses and a full compliment of support staff including practice based physiotherapists, podiatrist, attached district nurses and health visitors.

Arlington Road

The practice has been a training practice since the Eastbourne Training Scheme started and registrars have good support from their trainers and from the rest of the practice. There is a well-equipped library and meeting room where regular multidisciplinary and educational meetings are held. The partners meet at 11.00am each day to allow an opportunity to discuss any clinical problems and have an informal chat. The practice is now paper-free using only computer records for consultations using the In Practice Vision system and all consulting rooms have Internet access. In recent months the practice has opened a private Aesthetic Medicine clinic.

As with all the practices associated with the Eastbourne VTS, out of hours cover is provided through South East Health, our local cooperative. The registrars take an active part in this commitment.
